Trabuco Canyon Washout

Recently with the week-long rain last week, the creek next to where Mike's flying club is changed its rout and wiped out the road. Luckily the location of the wipe out is just after the gate into the Trabuco Flyers flying field. I went down with Jubi to check it out yesterday and it was quite a spectacle! The river attracted just about every guy in south orange county with a truck! It was as if the river were calling them... "Just try to cross me!" Mike said there were about twenty cars lined up on the road all debating whether or not to cross. Only Jeeps and trucks with four-wheel drive could make it. There was some old guy out there with his Jeep and what looked like a fire hose pulling people out who got stuck.

I took Jubi down to the water and she threw rocks into the river. It was like Sequoia all over again.
