Jubilee Turns Five!

Every year on Jubilee's birthday we celebrate by having a family dinner and birthday party.  But as Jubilee has gotten older and made friends, she has been invited to some very nice birthday parties and soon wanted her own real birthday party with friends.  So Mike and I decided that when Jubilee turned five, we would throw her a real party.  We decided to invite all the kids in her preschool class for a party at My Gym.  But for scheduling reasons, we had to have her party a week after her actual birthday resulting in the longest birthday celebration ever!

It started on March 8 at preschool.  She was given a beautiful crown which she wore every minute of the day for three days.  She got to have a special snack at preschool that day which was cookies and cream pudding.  Then, Mike and I took her out for dinner at BJ's.  A few days later, Grandma and I took her to Disneyland for the day.  We had so much fun that we stayed all the way through the fireworks so we could watch Tinkerbell fly above our heads and kick her little feet.  Her favorite ride was The Haunted House and Pirates of the Caribbean!

The My Gym party was a big success.  We had a great time and the leaders at My Gym were fantastic.  Not only did they play with all the kids, make Jubilee feel extra special, but they did most of the hostessing, did all the organizing and facilitating of the party from cutting and serving the cake, setting up the tables, and cleaning up.  All who attended had a great time!  On the way home, Jubilee commented, "Now I am five!"
